Founder’s Message
Food has always been a deeply personal subject for me.
During my decade-long journey with the State Bank of India (SBI), I had the opportunity to work in different locations and interact with people from all walks of life. No matter where I was posted, one concern followed me everywhere — finding genuinely pure, safe, and trustworthy food for my family.
Like many of you, I was willing to pay a higher price if it meant better quality. Yet, despite the premium prices and countless searches, I repeatedly faced the same reality:
true purity and authenticity were hard to find. Labels promised “natural” and “organic,” but the food often fell short of those claims. Over time, this became more than a frustration — it became a serious concern.
For several years, I personally searched for reliable farmers, honest producers, and traditional methods that had not been compromised by shortcuts or adulteration. Unfortunately, I could not find a single trusted source that consistently met the standards I wanted for my own home.
That was the turning point.
If a banking professional with access, experience, and resources was struggling to find honest food, what about ordinary families? That question stayed with me and eventually led to a decision that changed everything.
Village Basket was born from the belief that people deserve better food — food that is pure, natural, hygienic, and honestly made. What began as a mission to provide safe and high-quality food for my own family soon became a larger purpose:
to become a solution for every family searching for unadulterated food they can trust.
